Moore County offers several parks for children to learn to ride bikes.
In the Town of Southern Pines, Sandhurst Park is located at the corner of East Indiana and South Bethesda. Amenities include hard-packed trail for bikes, playground, picnic shelter, bathrooms and lots of open greenspace for family fun.
In the Town of Aberdeen, Ray's Mill Park Park is located on the corner of Saunders Blvd and Bethesda. They have a paved trail that is 1,000 feet, so 5 laps = 1 mile, perfect for youngsters as well as pier overlooking the lake.
In the Village of Pinehurst, Cannon Park is located on the corner of Woods Road and McIntyre Road. They have a paved surface for small kids to bike, roller skate or scooter and Camelot Playground, winner of the Best Park of Moore County.
In Carthage, Hillcrest Park is located off Hwy 22 on Hillcrest Park Lane. The park had 1.5 mile walking trail suitable for kids as well as playgrounds, picnic shelter, volleyball courts, and disc golf course.
